Abstract

Subject: The subject of this paper is the execution of the European Court of Human
Rights (hereinafter: ECHR) decisions in the legal system of the Republic of
Macedonia, through a normative analysis, in particular the Law on Execution of the
European Court of Human Rights Decisions and the Convention for the Protection
of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (hereinafter: ECHR).
Method: The study of this paper’ s subject will be primarily realized by applying
the method of normative analysis, as well as the methods of comparison, analogy
and case law method.
Aim: The main aim of this paper is to present the Macedonian system of execution
of decisions adopted by the European Court of Human Rights as one of the
necessary conditions for applying the rule of law principle.
Conclusion: In the conclusion of this paper, we will try to provide
recommendations and guidelines for improving the system of execution of decisions
adopted by the European Court of Human Rights, taking into account the practice of
the other member states of the Council of Europe.
