Abstract

Nicotine is one of the most important alkaloids in tobacco plant. The highest raites of nicotine are found in leaves and roots, and lowest in the stalk. The root system has the most important role in nicotine synthesis was confirmed by our investigations, too.
Investigations were carried out during 1999 in Tobacco Institute – Prilep in order to determine the synthesis of nicotine and its dynamics, as well as the compatibility and incompatibility among cetain genera and species. Seedlings in a stage of 3-4 leaves ( in a glass- house) and plants in a stage of 5-6 leaves ( in filed ) were used as material for investigations. The medium and the implant werw of the same formulation of Solanaceae, I,e. : intergenus, interspecies and intervariety implantations. Implanting was made according to the following methods: cleft, side cut on the implant, By awl and ablacting.
All combinations gave successful implans, which confirmed our statements about nicotine formation and its dynamics organas of the plants of Nicotiana.
