Abstract

Using the methods of induced androgenesis and culture tissues, uniform plant progenies were obtained (Collins G.B. et.al., 1975). By application of these methods in in vitro laboratory of Tobacco Institute-Prilep during 2004, three dihaploid lines were developed from three hybrids of the oriental type of tobacco. In order to study qualitative and quantitative traits of dihaploid lines, they were also set up in field conditions in 2005 and compared to their analogues. It could be stated that, in relation to morphological charcteristics, the investigated dihaploid lines did not significantly differ from their analogues.
