Abstract

The deterministic simulation model of movement of vehicles on two-lane highways in real roadway, traffic and ambient conditions is presented in the paper. The model serves for modelling the generation of vehicles, their movement on the analized roadway section, as well as for registration the passing through determined control points. The determined parameters and initial states which are variable through time are assigned to each vehicle in the process of generating. The movement of each vehicle depends on its parameters ( average speed, maximal acceleration and maximal speed ), as well as on momentary position in the relation of the other vehicles. For all of that, it has to emphasized that the parameters of vehicles depend on the characteristics of grades and climate conditions, and their momentary position in the relation of the other vehicles is caused by the vehicle type and directional distribution of the generating vehicles in traffic flows.
