Abstract

In this paper, the impact of the temporal variation in space (the result of the cause-consequence relation between the temporal and spatial traffic volume variations), on the practical capacity of highways is analyzed. Analyzing the various methodologies for computation the practical capacity, it has been emphasized that the mentioned variation is one of the factors of impact on highways too, especially if the practical capacity is observed totally, in both directions.
