Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the advantages and disadvantages of the most relevant and widely applied technologies for rapid prototyping including stereolithography, selective laser sintering, laminated object manufacturing and fused deposition modelling. A comparative analyse of the basic properties on rapid prototyping parts is also performed. They refer to surface roughness, dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties.
