Investigations were carried out during 2005 in the field of Tobacco Institute - Prilep to study the fungicide effect of the active ingredient fosetil-aluminium on the agent of blue mold disease on tobacco (Peronospora tabacina A).Four fungicides containing this ingredient were applied. Their effectiveness was compared with three other fungicides taken as a check, because they have been applied for a longer period in the control of this pathogen.
The intensity of disease attack of control was considerably high, reaching up to 42.06% in the first count and 30.95% in the second.
Effectiveness of the applied fungicides was determined in two estimations made 15 days after treatment.
The new fungicides Verita, Minal flash, Winer WP and Alanat showed good effectiveness in blue mold control on tobacco, compared to the check and the standard fungicides.
