Abstract

S. rueppelli is an obligate species, which breeds normally only on aphids.
Growth and abundance of S. rueppelli continuously follows the growth and abundance of aphids. Maximum number of aphids was recorded in August, which makes conditions for maximum growth of S. rueppelli in August and early September.
S. rueppelli is a dominant species in the fauna of Diptera, Syrphidae and is constantly present in entomocenosis of the Prilep's region.
