Abstract

Species of the family Chrysopidae (green lacewings) have a very important place in the integral control. They have a great consumptive power and high biological potential and play a major role in biological control throughout the world.
In faunal investigations of Chrysopidae as bioregulators of M. persicae on tobacco, the following species were identified: C. carnea, C perla, C. formosa, C. septempunctata, C. nigricostata and N. fulviceps.
In Macedonia, the predominant species of this family on tobacco is C. carnea.
Species of the Chrysopidae family have a great importance as predators on tobacco aphids.
Monitoring the dynamics of growth of green lacewing populations in a three-years period revealed that Chrysopidae continuously follows the growth of tobacco aphids, reaching its maximum in mid-August.
