Abstract

The business intelligence enables a company’s transaction data to be usefully analyzed. It is supposed to be one of the means of the employees that will make the decision making process easier, within shorter time limits, and definitely with better quality. The business intelligence delivers the information to the beneficiaries automatically according to their wishes or their demands. The technology, used by the business intelligence, includes different ways of personalized information delivery to the beneficiaries. Framework of the implementation of the business intelligence is big and with lots of varieties. In this paper, the insurance companies are the main focus of concern, or more precisely, the role of the business intelligence within the different stages of the financial market. The insurance companies should make the concept of their work according to the values chain adjusted to the specific characteristics of their work in order to be successful at the exceptionally competitive market. To be successful, the insurance companies definitely need the business intelligence because it has the key role in becoming successful and in maintaining the accomplished. Namely, it is simply the knowledge from the business data which is collected with routine throughout the every-day work and the transactions made. Furthermore, the level of quality of the services the insurance companies provide will grant them better position at the competitive market.
