Abstract

The main subject of the paper is the application of the special investigative measure using persons with hidden identity for monitoring and collecting information and data in the criminal acts in the field of organized crime in the Republic of Macedonia. In addition to the procedural aspects that are necessary for undertaking this special investigative measure, the criminalistic, operational-tactical and technical aspects of its use are also considered, which are not consistently prescribed in the normative acts regulating the criminal procedure. Using persons with hidden identity is an excellent operational-tactical method and instrument for achieving special goals and tasks in the fight against organized crime. The specificity of this special investigative measure is perceived in the complexity and responsibility in the preparation of persons for the role of an undercover investigator, the appearance of certain difficulties in maintaining them, the emergence of risks that threaten them, and the finding of an appropriate approach in their extraction from criminal environment. In order to obtain a more complete picture of the manner of chasing and collecting information and data on organized criminal forms of activities, two criminal cases ("Zmisko oko" and "Kaldrma") that were discovered and proven by applying this special investigative measure will be analyzed. Key words: persons with hidden identity, undercover, special investigative measure, information, organized crime
