Abstract

The use of information and communication technology for business purposes not only articulates a modern approach to operations, but it becomes an inseparable part of the modern business strategies and a feature of a new information and communication era. The large potential of ICT, as a catalyst of social and economic development, has made this technology an indispensable part of not only everyday business flows, but also social processes. In this sense, the introduction of e-business as one of the most profound changes currently happening in the business world represents the paramount stimulation in the direction of innovation of business entities. The survey in this paper is focused upon the analysis of strategic aspects of electronic business and also the analysis of indicators included in the model for calculating the composite index of e-business strategic readiness and its calculation for business entities in the Republic of Macedonia.
