Abstract

The unemployment is a problem that facing all countries in the world. The impact of unemployment on the macroeconomics of the broadest level of living standard and thus the quality of life of citizens at the micro level is a strong factor which affects the prosperity and stability of a country in general.
The rate of unemployment affect many factors that may be economic, social, political and so on. In which way a country will fight unemployment and how that will
be successful depends on its legislation, scalability and mobility of the workforce and policies to encourage employment of certain social groups, particularly those groups who are discriminated in any way on employement and difficulties with limited or completely denied access to the labor market.
The paper approaches to more analysis of unemployment and the factors influencing its reduction. Here are analyzed the trends in regard with employment in the Republic Macedonia, the legal framework which applies to all laws and regulations relating to employment policy programs that the major political parties have offered the parliamentary elections - the part that relates to employment
measures and a special place is given to attitudes of citizens about this problematic.
In such a way gathered data concerning the general benchmark in which moving attitudes of working-age citizens in the Republic Macedonia, the degree of confidence they have in institutions, as well as their opinion on current policies the government has implemented to reduce unemployment.
Special attention is given the attitudes pertaining to social assistance in terms of unemployment, the respondents' views about entrepreneurship and selfemployment,
and the degree of compliance with the policy which protect vulnerable groups from discrimination. When collecting data on attitudes is used Likert scale the processing is used Chi - square as a statistical test. It was conducted using a
qualitative analysis, using the method of content analysis of secondary data from the Institute of Statistics, political programs and employment law.
